Dramatic Gold Smokey Eye (Kim Kardashian at the Grammys)

In order to achieve the look K.K was wearing at the Grammys I pulled my coastal scents warm palette, which is an 88 palette devoted to all warm tones, mostly brown hues. However all anyone at home needs is a couple of warm and rich gold eye shadows, one medium and one dark. I also pulled a black liner for my water line and a black liquid liner for my lash line. At get Kim’s look the blackest shade possible is needed. Finally I pull a pair of dramatic long false lashes and my CoverGirl Lash Blast Intense mascara. Kim’s lashes are very long in this look and very much a focal point of her look. This dramatic eye has been paired with a neutral lip, remember to keep the shade of lipstick you use warm and not identical to your skin tone… we want to play up the eyes without completely erasing the lips. I may not be a big fan of the kardashians, however I love this look. Yes, it is one that Kim frequently wears, but why mess with a good thing? It is also a look that can easily be toned down to a day look by simply losing the heavy lashes and using a tad less gold. This look makes her brown eyes stand out, but it will do even more wonders for blue eyes!

Ah the joys of Bleaching!
In the wonderful world of women, it is often seen that blondes have more fun, get the attention from the guys. Whether it is to try and prove the rumors true or to simply have a big change, women all over the world invest in pricey bleaching or bite the bullet and attempt to do it themselves with drug store brands. I have been blonde twice in my life. The first time I was 16 and having a mid teen crisis, I said “screw my lovely burgundy hair, I’m gonna bleach the crap out of it!” I prefer not to look at the photos taken at that point in time. Being young and inexperienced I did not know how to get the proper tone. The second attempt happened years later, and was taken much better. I was 18 and in my first year of university, I remember sitting in the cafeteria one day and getting scouted and asked to be a model in a hair show. After a few shows they chose to go drastic on my near black hair and turned me into a platinum blonde. It took a full day of bleaching and toning to get it to the pure white they desired for the shoot. The photo above shows my hair after my shoot when I went home bought a different tone of blonde dye and did it myself. If I was to warn people of one thing it would be NEVER leave bleach on your hair for upwards of an hour, take your time and go gradual with it, because when your hair becomes over processed it turns into dry brittle crap to say the least. It is important to use a purple tinted toner so as to remove the brassiness and yellow tones. And invest in an amazing conditioning treatment, because your hair will be crying out for moisture.
I know I can’t stop any of your for taking the big bleaching plunge, but be careful bleachers, and be kind to your hair!

LUSH: Cinders Bath Bomb
This ever so lovely bath bomb is reintroduced around Christmas time. I had my very first experience with it this past winter, to say the least I bought 5 of these bombs. Cinders smells like cider and spices, and really reminds me of the sweet smells that are in homes during the fall and winter seasons. If you notice on the top of this bath bomb, and woven all through it are pop rocks! When I found this out it did nothing short of blow my mind. That might be due to the fact that I have a large inner child that apparently loves pop rocks, or it could be that these candies are meant to pop in the bath to mimic a crackling fire. Snaps to Lush creators for coming up with such a fun idea. When it gets down to the facts this bath bomb fizzled away in a couple minutes, and left the bath water a light orange color, also did I mention it smells amazing?! It is more of a bath bomb to be used for scent purposes, as it does not contain any miracle moisturizers. I recommed this product if you love the small of sweet apple cider and spices, but if you are looking for a creamy bath to leave your skin feeling super saturated with moisture, this bath bomb is not for you.
I give this product 3.5 stars.

REVIEW: Sally Hansen Air Brushed Legs (light glow)
I have tried this product numerous times because I wanted to be completely sure in my review of it. It has been months and months full of events in which i’ve showed off my legs, and no matter what the occasion this product has never failed me. It is a water proof formula so once it’s on it will not come off until you wash it off with soap. The basis in using this product it to shake the spray can in comes in, spray a small amount of your hand and begin to rub it into your legs, this will take several minutes, and I suggest putting it on in front of a mirror so you can make sure it is even. This product in the most basic sense is foundation for you legs. I personally have some scars from a childhood full of accident proned tendencies, and this stuff really makes them less noticeable, if noticeable at all. The only thing I can see being an issue to some users is that there is an added fame shimmer to this product, it does not bother me in the slightest, however I know that some individuals want a complete matte finish. I picked this up at Shoppers Drug Mart, and have seen it at other locations such as Walmart and Zellers. If you want your legs to look flawless for any occasion at all I defiantly suggest trying this product out. It will be a staple in my beauty cabinet for years to come.
